Tilden, Nebraska: childhood home of L. Ron Hubbard
I went to Tilden in July of 2006 just to see where L. Ron Hubbard lived as a child. Here's his home (I wonder if Scientology has ever tried to buy it?)
Tilden is a small farming community. Here's the downtown. There are still bad feelings from Scientology's attempt to make a park in memory of Hubbard.
Interestingly, not far away is Clearwater, Nebraska...
Also of interest were some Scientology crosses on buildings in each town.
I'm sure Scientology will no doubt rush to those towns and sue for violation of their trademarked cross!
